Grasscloth

This rug channels the natural texture and tonal layering of woven textiles, translated into a refined, hand-knotted rug. Inspired by Rutnaish Prihar’s original mixed media artwork, the design plays with contrast—light bleeding into dark, creating an organic central field with soft-edged borders.

This is a true artisanal creation: 100 knots per square inch, crafted in Kathmandu, Nepal using the Tibetan knot technique. With subtle abrash dyeing and a unique interplay of matte wool and luminous silk, the texture feels rich and tactile.

Every detail, from carved silk accents to carefully spaced tonal bands, adds depth and dimension—making this piece ideal for calm, modern interiors that embrace texture over pattern.
